Red Cross Blood Dive
Red Cross Blood Drive, Friday, July 31, Noon to 6 p.m., Seminar Room.
The American Red Cross supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood supply. It makes blood available to any patient who needs it – allowing the patient and their family to focus on recovery.
Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood – as the result of accidents, surgeries, and illnesses such as sickle cell anemia and cancer. More than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day, thus keeping blood in supply before an emergency occurs.
Donating blood is an easy four-step process – registration, medical history, actual donation, and refreshments. The process is safe and causes minimal discomfort.
The need for blood increases during the summer months because of increased travel and the higher number of automobile and other accidents. Blood shortages can reach critical stages if there is a shortage of donations.
It is important that you register prior to July 31. Sign-up sheets will be available on the lower level of the church before Sabbath school and after church each Sabbath during July. You can also sign up at the church office during the week, log onto redcrossblood.org
(Sponsor Code: BCSEVENTHDAY), or call (1-800-733-2767).
Blood donations save countless lives! Please plan now to participate.
