An Open Letter from Pastor Rob Benardo
.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the Battle Creek community for your tremendous show of support during our recent tragic occurrence.  As most of you have probably heard, our city, our church, and one family in particular recently suffered a terrible loss.  Thursday night, August 27, Evangelist William (Will) Pergerson II died in a plane crash while trying to take off from our own Battle Creek airport.  The plane was a small private aircraft owned by Pastor Pergerson, which he had piloted safely many times.

We are deeply saddened by this great loss and yet still miraculously encouraged and peaceful for the future because of our belief in God.  We are sure we will see our friend again in the heavenly kingdom soon to come.

What many of you may not know is the reason Pastor Pergerson was here.  He was planning to share the amazing love of God for every person within our city.  His series was to begin October 25 at the Kool Family Community Center and last for three weeks.  Although Pastor Will now rests in peace, his message still lives!  He believed that many have misunderstood the Bible and have a faulty or limited understanding of the character of God and the wonders of His plan for us.

After much contemplation and prayer, we have decided that our free series called “A Revelation of Hope” will continue.  As planned, our professional health team will share important information to help you feel better and live longer.  Nightly heart-warming music will also be shared from musicians like Buddy Houghtaling, Kelley Lorencin and others.  Inspiring and uplifting messages will be presented every night, including some special video presentations from Pastor Pergerson and live messages from his family.  More details will be posted on this website in the next few weeks.

We really believe that God is going to do something special for our city through these meetings that Pastor Pergerson gave his life for.  Please come and join us opening night, October 25, as we learn together.  And thank you again for your kindness and prayers for his family!
