Battle Creek Fallen Officers Memorial
.
On June 10, 2008, the Battle Creek Police Department dedicated the Fallen Officers Memorial. The memorial, constructed with $350,000 raised from 500 donors, was built between the city’s police department and city hall. It includes plaques of six officers killed in the line of duty since the department was formed in 1900 and a life-size bronze statue of an officer holding the hand of a little girl.

The walkway is made with bricks engraved with the names and messages of people and organizations who donated money to the project. Included are three plaques from the Battle Creek Tabernacle, which represents the church’s donation of over $450.

Thanks again to all of you who contributed to memorial.
